• Please do not touch the aircraft without permission

• Never let a child walk on the wings and stay way back if an engine is going to start.  Propellers are very dangerous.

• Do not smoke on the flight line or parking ramp.

  Friday July 10

Iowa Aviation Youth Camp

• Kids ages 9 - 12 , Sign-In  8:30 AM

• Camp runs 9 AM to Noon

• Limited enrollment, must be pre-registered

• Learn about airplanes, instruments, aerodynamics, airports, flight planning

• Young Eagles Program Airplane rides

• Pizza lunch, T-shirts provided

                                                   Camp is Free!

Saturday July 11

Drive-In / Fly-In Breakfast

• 6:30 - 10:30 AM in main hangar

• Pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage, and apple sauce

• Pilots-in-command eat free!

• Prepared by Independence Lions Club assisted by Independence Rotary

• Cost is adults (12 and up) $6.00, Kids 5 to 11 years  $3.00, kids under 5 Free!

Many Aircraft & Exhibits on Display All Day

• WW II B-25 Bomber from Commemorative Air Force

• Concessions, vendors, souvenirs

Free Air show at 1 PM

Getting There....

Independence Municipal Airport is about 22 miles East of Waterloo/Cedar Falls and is accessible from US Highway 20.

Fly-in should locate identifier "IIB" and a 5500 ft main runway, 17/35 is available.
